If you’re looking to join our competitive Olympic weightlifting team, make sure you go to the contact page and email me with the headline: “Olympic Weightlifting Club” and we’ll get you started!
I require all new members to go through my Strength Camp program for at least 3 months before they are allowed to matriculate into our competitive team. But, it’s good for me to know if you are intending to compete.
Going through my Strength Camp program allows you to get a lot of serious attention on how to properly perform the Olympic lifts before we jump you into the Olympic weightlifting-specific training that the team does.
Most people don’t realize that after 3 months of training nearly anyone can go and compete in a contest and have a great time. Sure, you’ll have a long way to go, but that’s true in every sport. Olympic weightlifting is a hard sport, but it isn’t THAT hard. If you are determined, you CAN do it.
Our Olympic Weightlifting team is one of the largest and most active clubs in the state of Oregon. We got that way by being open to people of different backgrounds, skill levels, and goals. What binds us is our active participation in competition in USA Weightlifting sanctioned meets. We believe in having a genuinely FUN time while training hard.
Our Team includes Crossfit practitioners, nationals-bound young athletes, masters lifters, and recreational competitors in just for fun. If you are serious about having a great time by becoming a competitive Olympic Weightlifter, click here, and fill out the contact form to get started today!
